The Pause Before the Norm
We\’re in that null season now, when the days hang suspended between the holidays, waiting for one to end, the next to begin and normality to reclaim life. These are the hours that bunch together to form the visible seam in the underbelly of time, where the years are stitched together. This is where we pause, draw a hopeful breath, and begin anew.
Wishing you all a Happy and Healthy 2009!

Mike, wow! I needed to draw a breath and re-group, there, but you are right. Best to not go into the deeper implications. Life can be simple, but only if we allow it,

nicely written words.we do pause here before we begin anew, that\’s so true. time to reflect and renew. that\’s the good thing about a new year, it\’s a clean slate isn\’t it? if we want it to be.and a happy, healthy new year to you too… when it gets here.;-)

These are the days when my husband works extra long shifts and I am stuck at the house with my two heathens with no car, so that others can have a few days off after Christmas and before New Years…not that I am complaining or anything. Hope you have a great 2009.

In the past I have spent this time thinking of my fickle resolutions, like losing weight etc., but this year I look to 2009 with impending doom of economic collapse and job losses and war. Am I hormonal or has the American media finally just scared the pants off me?

Kat: hope you don\’t go stir-crazy before 2009 has a chance to take off.FFF: Happy New Year to you, too.Pam: my money is on the American Media–they are consummate scaremongers.

Donnie and Gill, the \’pause\’ is nearly over now – New Year\’s Eve at work; it\’s 9:30 AM and we\’re already discussing when we\’re going to go to the pub. The real year starts on Monday the 5th.
